The International School of Young Futurologists of the Diplomacy of Knowledge Center has announced the launch of an essay contest, which provides an opportunity for young scientists to express their ideas and vision of the future.

The purpose of the contest is to find ideas that can not only be discussed, but also implemented. Participants will be able to propose realistic projects to create a constructive image of the future and steps to implement it.

The competition is open to all students and young professionals interested in futurology, social sciences and innovation.

The topic covers a wide range of issues related to the future of humanity in 4 directions: 

• The past as the foundation of the future
• The socio-humanitarian dimension of the future
• The potential of space in the future
• The economy of the future without illusions

Participants should submit their essays on one of the proposed topics, which will provide an opportunity to express themselves, present their vision of the future and become part of the international community of researchers from the BRICS countries.

Each essay is evaluated by two independent reviewers. The criteria include the originality of the idea, futurological depth, argumentation and international relevance.

• Deadline for submission of works: November 7 – November 20, 2025

The main winner will have the opportunity to speak online at the School of Young Futurologists event in December 2025, and he will be able to join the BRICS Knowledge Diplomacy mentoring program.

All participants will receive certificates, and the best works will be published in an electronic collection and on the School’s website.

Participation in the contest is a chance for young people not only to express themselves, but also to become part of a global dialogue about the future.
