The project is based on two ideas: developing an effective civil society capable of responding to contemporary challenges and promoting cultural cooperation between Russia and its partner countries.

We develop participants’ competencies

In 2023, the Institute of Continuing Education at the Russian State University for the Humanities launched an interactive course to train specialists in the field of NGOs and NPOs in Russia and abroad as part of a professional development program.

We believe that education is the key to understanding the world, and that continuous improvement of competencies and skills is the key to a successful future.

We connect projects

‘The Smart Civilization’ team has organized more than 200 events with Russian and international non-governmental organizations that share the principles of equality and cooperation between civilizations.

We create the Community

On our media platform, we bring together active citizens who are able to offer, discuss, and implement ideas aimed at developing society.

We support the third sector

We support our partners by creating films about the activities of the third sector. In these films, we spotlight significant projects in various fields and interview representatives of NGOs and NPOs. To date, we have recorded over 120 interviews with experts and scientists.
